The NHB’s goal is to help uncover the causes of neurological and psychiatric brain disorders and find potential solutions. They cannot do this alone and need support. The human brain is so complex that it cannot be fully replicated in animal models or test tubes. Access to human brain tissue for research is therefore crucial.
